Ask the Docs: Pregnancy and Endometriosis

On March 29, 2022, Drs. John Frattarelli, Anatte Karmon, and Emily Goulet hosted a Facebook Live Session entitled: “Pregnancy and Endometriosis.”

During this session, the Doctors talked about:

  • What is Endometriosis?
  • How and Why does it affect fertility?
  • How to diagnose and treat Endometriosis?
  • IUI VS IVF?
  • What are the pregnancy rates with Endometriosis?
  • Does insurance cover IVF if a patient is diagnosed with Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue that lines the uterus, “the endometrium,” grows outside of the uterus. This tissue can be found on the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, as well as other organs. It can cause inflammation, pain, formation of scar tissue, and adhesions, possibly leading to fertility problems.
